Four Countryside Players Commit
to Schools
Lindsey Bates has verbally committed to Palm Beach Atlantic. Lindsey
plays defense and midfield for Countryside Lightning U 18 girls. Lindsey
is also dual-enrolled at Polk Community College. Lindsey was 1st Team
All County for George Jenkins last year, who made it to the Final Four.
Brittany Downs has verbally committed to Stony Brook University in New
York. Brittany plays defense for Countryside Lightning U 18 girls and
also at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando.
Meggie Ford has verbally committed to Columbia University. Meggie plays
defense for Countryside Lightning U 18 girls and also high school for
St. Petersburg High School. Meggie has been on the Florida ODP State
Team, and last year was All County, All Conference, and 3rd Team All
State. Meggie is in the IB program at St. Petersburg High School.
Emily Ware has verbally committed to Stetson University. Emily plays
midfield for Countryside Lighting U 18 girls and also high school at
Osceola High School in Pinellas County. Emily was 1st team All County
last year.
