SoccerFLA.com Announces the All-Florida Women's Team

Fort Lauderdale, Florida  (December 9, 2005) - SoccerFLA.com announces the All-Florida Women's Team for the 2005 season. The honors go to the top collegiate players in the state. FSU, coming off a season that saw them upset North Carolina to get to the final four, placed six players on the team. UCF added two, and UF, UM and FAU each added one player.

The Player of the Year honors go to FSU's India Trotter. Trotter had 13 goals and 9 assists on the season and was a key leader for FSU both on and off the field. Trotter is a Fort Lauderdale native and played high school at St. Thomas and club soccer with Team Boca.

The Freshman of the Year is Florida's Megan Kerns. Kerns, a forward, spent a portion of the year injured, but managed 4 goals and 3 assists for the Gators. Kerns is from Ames, Iowa.

The team has four returning players - Melanie Booth, Kelly Rowland, Courtney Baines and India Trotter.
