Alan Foy to leave Weston

|The Weston Fury SC would like to announce that Alan Foy, Director of Operations will be moving to North Carolina this spring. Alan’s last day with the Program will be Friday, March 28th. Alan has been with the club since 2004 and has led the club’s efforts towards the Weston Invitational, the golf tournament, sponsorship procurement, the club’s website, amongst other duties.

Alan and his wife Stacey are expecting their first child in August. The Club would like to take this opportunity to thank Alan for his hard work over the past 4 years and wish them both the very best for their future endeavors.

Foy will be joining the Jamestown Soccer Club (NC) and its parent organization, Jamestown Youth League.

Prior to working with the Weston Fury, Foy worked in the front office of Major League Soccer franchises -- Miami Fusion F.C. and Tampa Bay Mutiny as a Regional Director where he managed community development and outreach programming amongst other duties. Additionally Foy worked closely with numerous non-profit soccer organizations across Florida in regard to club structure, player and facility development and camp provision. Foy also conducted numerous coaching education clinics and certification classes for AYSO in his capacity as a Nationally Licensed Instructor. He has coached at the Semi Professional level for both Men and Women and holds the USSF National "B" and Youth Licenses, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, ICA Fitness & Conditioning Certificate and holds an honors degree in Physical Education & Science.

Foy's role has been born out of the growing needs of the organization and its future plans.

"I am very much looking forward to joining the community of Jamestown and I am excited about the future growth and direction of the program," said Foy. "There is a vibrancy in the club that I feel can only take us forward and provide a better product for the soccer community. Our aim is to create a strong foundation that will ensure progressive long term growth".

As the club's Executive Director, Foy’s role will see him oversee the club’s infrastructure, which will include among other things coaching appointments, player development programs, facility management and club relationships.

"Alan is uniquely placed to fulfill such a role for our club," said JYL President Doug Jermyn. "His corporate background with MLS is one that is both business and operational based and he understands the youth soccer environment, these factors were key to his appointment and to the Jamestown Soccer community’s future".
