West Pines boys 17 won the High School division in the Miami Lakes Spring Shootout.

In it's first 3 games, West Pines tied Miami Lakes 3 - 3, defeated Coral Estates 2 - 0 and defeated Royal Palm Beach 6 - 0. In the championship game, West Pines had to play Miami Lakes again. West Pines scored early on a goal by Jorge Palma and later had to play a man down after Giovanni Aguilera was ejected for committing a last defender foul. Miami Lakes managed to score with under 3 minutes remaining to tie the score 1 - 1 and to force the game to be decided by penalty kicks. Jorge Palma, Leo Acosta, Tristan Daniel, Anthony Villagran and Miguel Benito converted their kicks, while Felipe Matallana made a key save to win the game 5 to 4. Outstanding players throughout the tournament were Jared Seff, Michael Salerno, Manuel Vargas and David Bernal.

This is West Pines 3rd tournament victory, they also won the Seminole Labor Day & Weston's President's Day tournaments.
