MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barry University has announced the signing of six
student-athletes for the Women’s Soccer Team. The six signees comprise a
talented and diverse class which should make an immediate and positive
effect in the fall. This marks the first full recruiting class under
Head Coach Fred Jungemman. The group is compromised of several
multisport talents from Oregon, Arizona, Kentucky and three from
Florida.
Jungemman states, “This has been an exciting and productive recruiting
class for the Barry Women’s Soccer program. We have managed to address
nearly every position on our roster. In addition, we were also able to
bring in numerous impact players who will continue the resurgence
process we have undertaken. I am sure I speak for our entire program
when I say that we are excited to get started next fall and anticipate a
strong season.”
Sarah Wolfer is a forward/winger hailing from Newberg, Ore. While
attending Newberg High School, she earned seven varsity letters in both

FACA Senior All-Star game as well as a 1st team all-state recognition.
In Kentucky she also had a knack for scoring goals as she set a school
single season record for scoring and points during her junior year with
53 goals and 120 points, also earning a 1st team all-state honor and
being named Offensive Player of the Year. Brower is a prolific and
determined striker with a talent for scoring goals.
Another attacker joining the Buccaneers is Allie Llaneras from Miami
Springs, Fla.. During her tenure with the Golden Hawks she was a
finalist for 2007 Miami-Dade Athlete of the Year and honored as
Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year by the Sports Society. She led
the county in scoring with 51 goals and 18 assists as a 1st team
all-county performer, her second consecutive honor. Llaneras is a
creative and skillful attacking player who is a hard worker and will
look to make an immediate impact in the fall.

earned four varsity letters in soccer at Coral Reef High School. She
anchored the Barracuda defense garnering 1st team all-county honors as
the team captain during her senior year. In 2006 she also earned 1st
