Palm Beach Soccer Academy Nomads U12 Girls win Challenge Sports’ Super
Challenge at Miramar
May 11, 2008 In their first game, the Nomads jumped to an early lead
over a very good Plantation Eagles Blue team. The Eagles, however, came
back to tie the game at 5-5. Feeling unhappy with their performance, the
Nomads, kicked it up a notch and won their remaining five games to take
the U12 Girls competitive division title.
The Nomads beat the Orange Crush by a score of 6-2 in their second game.
After trailing Key West Soccer Club by two goals in their third game,
the Nomads fought back and won the game by a score of 9-3. In their last
pool game, the Nomads beat a very skilled Weston Fury team by a score of
5-2.
Having earned the best record on day one, the Nomads, earned a bye
during the quarter-finals. In the semi-finals the Nomads played Weston
Fury and come away with a 4-3 victory to reach the championship game. In
their final game, the Nomads played a very strong Benchwarmers team from
Kendall and beat them by a score of 6-3.
