Camps & Clinics in Full Swing at USF
TAMPA, Fla. - With a majority of the University of South Florida summer
athletic camps under way, various coaches of USF’s 17 intercollegiate
sports are spending their summers teaching the fundamentals of being a
successful student-athlete on and off the field.
This week nearly 150 kids are on the University of South Florida campus
attending softball, women’s soccer and basketball camps.
Women’s Soccer
Second-year head coach Denise Schilte-Brown wants to help kids improve
their game while having a great experience at USF.
The Bulls Soccer Camps are broken into four sessions, all featuring
technical and tactical training as well as 6 v 6 small-sided matches.
Overnight camps also include evening matches.
Day Camps, for ages 6-14, are broken into $210 full day (9 a.m.-4 p.m.)
and $120 half day (9 a.m.-noon) groups. Session I will run from July
7-11 and Session 2 is July 21-25.
Overnight Camps are for athletes ages 8-18, and are divided into three
categories. The residential overnight camp is $495, the extended day
camp (9 a.m. – 8:45 p.m.) is $410, and the full day camp (9 a.m.-4 p.m.)
is $210. Session 3 is June 15-19 and Session 4 is July 13-17.
"Attending Bulls Soccer Camps this summer will benefit any soccer player
who is looking to improve their game," said Schilte-Brown. "It is an
experience unlike any other, which will change your life on and off the
field."
