FSL salutes DeBrocke, Laassel

The Florida State League salutes coaches Ali Laassel and Ben DeBrocke for all they have contributed to girls soccer in Florida. Regrettably, both announced they will not coach their Valrico girls team this year.

Ben and Ali have produced several great players participating in FYSA, high school, ODP and Region 3. Many of their girls will see action in college at D-1 and D-2 schools. Both helped girls soccer in Florida tremendously.

Ben coached at Brandon when the girls were younger while Ali was at Palm Bay. Both worked together at Valrico producing one of the more successful 90/91 girls teams in the state. There was not a team in the age-group that brought out the competitive juices from their opponents like Valrico. Every team in the 90/91age group is better because of Ben, Ali and their teams. We thank them and wish all the best.
