Strictly Soccer Alums get College honors

Former Strictly Soccer player Matt Skonicki has been named to the College Soccer News.com and TopDrawerSoccer.com National team of the week for the week ending September 7, 2008. Skonicki contributed a goal in Winthrop’s 3-2 win over UNC Greensboro on Friday and then scored twice including the game winner in overtime on Sunday to lead the Eagles past Elon 2-1.

Former Strictly Soccer goalkeeper Kristin Russell has been named Big East Goalkeeper of the week for the second straight week as she has anchored St. Johns to a 3-0 start not conceding a goal. She has also been named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National team of the week.
