Weston u13 girls finish second in NC

The U13 Girls Premier traveled to North Carolina for the CASL tournament (Nov 7-9) - their first out of state trip. The girls came up against teams from Virginia and North Carolina on their first day, winning both games 2-1. These wins took them through to the semi final the next day against another North Carolina team from Greensboro. The game ended in a 2-2 tie and went into overtime. The Fury girls won the game on penalty kicks taking them into the final against another local team from Winston Salem. The girls battled hard in a well fought out game which ended in a 1-0 loss for Weston.

It is a great achievement for these girls to reach the final of this prestigious tournament and they played all weekend with heart, determination and a great team spirit. Let's hope they take these attributes to the Disney Junior Showcase over Thanksgiving.

The team is led by Coach Patrick Johnston, Assistants Marcelo Godoy and Andrew Thomas.
