Florida Rush go 12-1-1

Orlando, FL: On November 15-23, the Florida Rush Nike Boys ages U-15 to U-18 collected a 12-1-1 tournament performance, which dominated the prestigious Capital Area Soccer League College Showcase in each of their respective divisions. The club’s only loss for the entire weekend, in the U15 final, had to be decided by penalty kicks after playing two overtime periods.

The CASL Boys Showcase is a highly visible event for competitive play and recruiting, with over 200 coaches in attendance this year from US colleges and universities. Teams are accepted based on their past and current performance, so the weekend play is well qualified.

Although the Rush teams exhibited control over their outcomes, the matches were lively with 35 goals scored and 11 conceded. Eight of the twelve Rush victories were decided by just one goal, signaling a well managed tournament structure for player and team development. The group competed in a truly national showcase at a high level; their matches included teams from FL, SC, NC, TN, MS, VA, MD, OS, and PAE.
