Rush girls have success at CASL

The Florida Rush Girls teams followed up a successful weekend from the Rush boys teams with a great weekend of their own. The U17 Nike girls won CASL for the 3rd time in 5 years. They beat the North Carolina State Finalist 1-0 , South Texas State Finalist 2-1 and Washington State Champions 1-0. The u17 are currently ranked 15th in the Nation, 4th in region 3 and 1st in the State (got soccer). As usual the CASL tournament attracts the best teams and college coaches from everywhere giving the girls an opportunity to showcase their talent. The team will be playing at Disney in the Showcase bracket Dec 31-Jan 3.

The u16 Nike Girls had another terrific CASL weekend as well only to lose in the finals to the Minnesota State Champs. After an exhausting semi-final that went to overtime penalty kicks the team only had an hour break before going into the final. This team has been in the finals for the second straight year in a row. The u16 Nike girls will be playing in the Disney Showcase on Dec31-Jan 3.

The u15 Nike girls had great weekend playing to three ties against some great teams. Rush tied Bethesda number one team in Maryland 1-1, tied Twin City from North Carolina 1-1 and Atlantic United from New Jersey 0-0. This team is also very talented and will be playing in Disney in the showcase bracket Dec 31-3. This team continues to compete well against some of the best teams in the Nation.

The u14 Nike girls playing in their first CASL tournament went 2-1 losing to the eventual champions. A brand new team this year that is working hard and continues to improve.

Overall the RUSH Nike girls went 7-2 4 at CASL. All the Rush Nike Girls teams will participate in the most elite tournament in the Nation, The Disney Showcase.
