4/24/09

Four All-Broward County soccer players, including a trio from Monarch High School have accepted soccer scholarships to attend South Georgia College in the fall. Included in the group is 2009 Sun-Sentinel 6A-5A "Player of the Year" forward, Felipe Nascimento (Monarch). He along with midfielder, Joao Mendes (Monarch) and two All-Broward defenders; Cypress Bay's Jon-Michael White and Monarch's Victor Castro make up the core of the 2009 class.

"Getting these four players from South Florida was exactly what I set out to do", stated South Georgia coach Ken Kirsch. "It made my 2009 recruiting class extremely strong and I consider all of them blue-chip prospects". "They will definitely help us out immediately next season".
