Ponte Vedra (u16g) wins! The girls defeat GSA 2-0 and are headed to the
Nationals.
Tuesday
Florida teams advancing to the final round: Ponte Vedra.
SF Elite loses to the Texans in OT.
Ponte Vedra (u16g) defeats Team Boca 3-0 and will play in the finals
tomorrow. The Rush (u16b) play well but lose to the Texans 2-3.
Monday
FOUR FLORIDA TEAMS ARE MOVING ON TO THE SEMI-FINALS: TEAM BOCA (U16G),
PONTE VEDRA (U16G), SOUTH FLORIDA ELITE (U14B) AND THE RUSH (U16B).
The u16b Rush win and advance to the semi-finals.
4:38 pm - Team Boca scores late in the second OT to win the game and
advance to the semi-finals. Abby Carr gave Boca an early lead at the
24-minute mark. Ashley Oswald scored the winning goal in the 110th
minute for Boca.
4:07 pm - U16G Team Boca tied 1-1 at first water break of overtime.
Ponte Vedra wins 2-0 and advances. S Fl Elite wins 4-2 and advances.
1:44 p.m. - Both Florida entries lost in the first round of games today.
Brevard (u17b) was eliminated by Triangle (NC) 0-4. In the other game,
RSL (u18g) lost 0-2 to the Sting (TX). Florida is now 18-18-9.
Sunday
8:38 p.m. / U14 - In the final set of games tonight, S Fl Elite (3-0-0)
remains unbeaten with a 2-1 win over CASL, SFE advances. Ponte Vedra
(0-2-1) u14 girls lose to BUSA and return home. Florida is now 18-16-9.
7:27 p.m. / U16 - The Team Boca (2-0-1) u16 girls tie Concorde (GA) 1-1
and Ponte Vedra (2-1-0) wins 5-0 over Bridge FC (SC). Both teams win
their group and will advance. The Rush (u16b) also advance with a 3-0
win. Florida is 17-15-9 (win-loss-tie).
3:18 p.m. / U17 - U17 - Rush (0-2-1) girls lose to the Sting 0-1 and the
Wellington (1-2-0) boys lose 0-4 to Lonestar, neither team moves on.
Brevard (1-0-2) ties Celtic to advance as the wildcard. Florida is
15-15-8.
3:05 p.m. / U18 - RSL 18 girls lose but will advance. RSL boys lose,
finish in 2nd, but do not advance. Florida is 15-13-7 (win-loss-tie).
11:15 a.m. / U19 - HCU (2-0-1) wins over Texas 2-0 but they finish 2nd
in their bracket and do not advance, losing out on a wildcard chance by
goal differential. IMG wins over NASA (GA) 3-1. They finish the
tournament with a 1-0-2 record. The Kendall (0-2-1) boys also return
home after a 4-0 loss to Solar (TX). Florida is 15-11-7 (win-loss-tie).
Saturday
9:11 p.m. - Florida drops both games in the u15s. on the girls side, the
Rush (0-2-0) fall to CASL 0-2 and in the boys, Kendall (1-1-0) drops a
1-2 decision to SCSA. After two days of competition, Florida is 13-10-7
(win-loss-tie).
8:57 p.m. - S Fl Elite (u14b) is now 2-0 after winning in easy fashion
again, 6-2 over Tulsa (OK). Six different players scored for SFE. The
Ponte Vedra (0-1-1) u14 girls tied Concorde (GA) 0-0. Team Boca u16
girls are also 2-0, they win 1-0 over Alabama and Ponte Vedra gets in
the win column by a 2-0 margin over Oklahoma. The Rush (0-1-1), tied
Knoxville (TN) 1-1. Florida is now 13-8-7.
2:53 p.m. - RSL (1-0-1), u18b, tie the Texans 0-0 and RSL (2-0-0), u18g,
win 5-0 over Arkansas.
1:00 p.m. - For the u19s, on the girls side, HCU (1-0-1) ties D'feeters
(TX) 1-1 and IMG (0-0-2) loses to Alabama 0-2. For the boys, Kendall
(0-1-1) and the Texans play to a 0-0 tie. Florida's record stands at
9-8-4 (win-loss-tie).
11:01 a.m - Brevard (1-0-1) defeat the Texans 4-0 in the u17 boys.
Wellington (1-1-0) loses to Oklahoma 0-2. In u17g, the Texans defeat the
Rush (0-1-1) 5-3. Florida is now 9-7-2 (win-loss-tie).
Friday
8:53 p.m. In u16 girls, Team Boca cruises to a 5-0 win over Arkansas.
Ponte Vedra loses 1-3 to the Texans (defending champions). PV scores on
a goal by Morgan Brian, a US National Team player, in the 51st minute.
On the boys side, the Rush win 3-2 over NC. The first day of action is
now in the books and Florida finishes with a mark of 8-5-2
(win-loss-tie).
6:37 p.m. S Florida Elite (u14b) wins 5-0 over Alabama and Ponte Vedra
(u14g) loses 0-5 against Oklahoma. The State is now 6-4-2
(win-loss-tie).
4:47 p.m. U15 results: The Kendall boys defeat Lonestar 1-0 and the Rush
girls lose to the Texans 0-1. Florida is now 5-3-2 (win-loss-tie).
2:55 p.m. Florida loses its first games of the day as Brentwood tops the
Kendall u19 boys 3-2 and IMG is defeated by Texas 4-3. The HCU u19 girls
win over Oklahoma 2-1. Florida is now 4-2-2.
1:09 p.m. Florida remains undefeated at regionals as the Rush (u17g) tie
CASL/NC 1-1; Brevard (u17b) ties GSA and Wellington (u17b) wallops
Huntsville 6-1 (u17b). Wellington was down 0-1 early in the game, but
they moved the ball around well all game and maintained control through
out. Wellington had a couple of early chances but could not cash in.
They broke the game open later in the first half and went on for the 6-1
win. Florida is now 3-0-2 (win-loss-tie).
11:00 a.m. RSL U18 boys win 1-0 over Andromeda (TX) and the RSL u18
girls win 2-0 over Mandeville (LA) in early Regional action. Tramayne
East scored the winning goal for RSL.
