FSU Hosts Sky Blue Wednesday The Seminoles will square-off
against the first of two professional teams this spring on St. Patrick’s
Day.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State women’s soccer team
will continue its spring schedule on Wednesday March, 17 2010 as they
face the first of two Women’s Professional Soccer opponents.
The
Garnet and Gold will take on Sky Blue FC, the defending Women’s
Professional Soccer League champions. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.,
and will take place inside the Seminole Soccer Complex.
Admission is free so fans can come out and support the Seminoles as they
showcase themselves against the best at the next level.
In their
first action of the spring, the Seminoles went 2-0 as they won a pair
games against the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Georgia Bulldogs in
Atlanta, Ga. FSU took the first game against Nebraska 3-2, and then
quickly turned around to defeat the Bulldogs 1-0.
Area youth can
also look forward to a day of training as Florida State and Sky Blue
will host a free youth soccer skills clinic on Sunday March 21, 2010 at
the Seminole Soccer Clinic. The clinic will begin promptly at 3:30 p.m.
and is open for youth in the 8th grade or lower. |
