East Lake High School Athletic Director Carmela Haley recently announced the hiring of Derek Harrington to Coach Girls Varsity Soccer.
 
Derek has been coaching the Olympic Development Program and coaching locally with the Clearwater Chargers U16 and U18 Boys Academy teams. The school also announced that Derek has chosen Charley Ferro to return as the Assistant Coach for Girls Varsity Soccer.
 
Charley is also coaching locally as the U19 Girls club coach at West Florida Premier.

ELHS Girls Varsity Soccer has made the 5A Regional’s for 7 consecutive years and in 2008 won the Regional Championship and participated in State Cup Final Four.
