Fire Advance to Sweet Sixteen in State Cup Competition
May 14, 2006 - The u13 Sunrise Fire have advanced to the round of sixteen in State Cup competition. The team defeated FLUGSA champion Kendall in the first game by a 2-0 score. The Fire had recently lost to Kendall in the FLUGSA final four on penalty kicks. The Sunrise win gives the team a 2-1-1 mark versus Kendall this season.
In the second game, Sunrise beat Jacksonville 1-0.
