The Sunrise Elite U-14 soccer team is in its first year of competition and is one of the up and coming teams in South Florida. The team made it all the way to the State Cup championship game. They also won the Plantation Thanksgiving Classic and were a semifinalist in the SFUSL "A" Division. In January of this year six members of the team won the Challenge Sports National 3v3 Championship. The team is composed of 17 local boys and its coached and trained by Pedro Magallenes who was a member of the Argentine National team and also played for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. Pedro is known throughout the soccer community and is nationally recognized as a trainer.
