96/97 team eliminated by West Pines

The u11s were knocked out of the Region Cup competition by West Pines. Pines defeated the Sting 3-1. Pines took a 1-0 lead and held that going into the second half. Sunrise tied the game early in the second half. Sunrise had two great opportunities to put the game away in the second half, a shot by the center midfielder caught the cross bar and then a Sunrise breakaway was stopped by the Pines keeper who made a great save with seven minutes remaining. Pines scored to take a 2-1 lead in the final few minutes. Pines closed the game with a final goal for the 3-1 win.
